Tom Hanks says he doesn’t have “much respect” for many who don’t put on face masks throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Hanks and his spouse Rita Wilson caught the virus whereas filming for a brand new film in Gold Coast, Australia, in March.

Speaking in a latest interview about methods to cease the unfold of COVID-19 with Reuters, Hanks mentioned: “At the very least, three tiny issues (are) in all people’s wheelhouse, when you select to do them.

“Wear a mask, wash your hands, social distance. If you can’t do that, I don’t have much respect for you.”

He added: “Whether or not we like it, we’re all in this together.”

In a separate interview with NBC’s Today Show on Tuesday, Hanks mentioned that by carrying a masks, practising social distancing and washing palms: “That alone means you might be contributing to the betterment of your home, your work, your city, society as an entire.

“Let’s not confuse the fact – it’s killing people. You can argue what the numbers are… It’s killing people.”
