DC Comics have been quietly confirming new movie franchises this 12 months, with the most recent mission involving the legendary Static Shock.
Static Shock is a younger black superhero, Virgil Hawkins, who lives in Dakota, and has the power to create and manipulate electrical energy to thwart evildoers.
Jordan has now formally signed on to provide the upcoming Static Shock film, alongside filmmaker Reginald Hudlin.
The 33-year-old star advised The Hollywood Reporter: “I’m proud to be part of constructing a brand new universe round black superheroes. Our group deserves that.
