Piers Morgan and his spouse Celia Walden have been burgled whereas sleeping at their rented villa in France, the pair have revealed.

The rented home was damaged into shortly earlier than the couple have been resulting from journey again to the UK from the Cote d’Azur within the south of France.

Walden wrote within the Daily Telegraph that she awakened at 6.15am to prepare to take a look at of the property, to find her purse on the couch and her empty jewelry field sitting subsequent to it.

Walden, who married Morgan in 2010, stated: “I knew the second I walked into the sitting room that one thing was flawed.

“The earlier evening had been spent getting our rented home prepared for checkout – however the place was a large number.

“My purse was upside-down on the couch, the field I hold my jewelry in mendacity empty beside it.

“The up-turned purse discovered within the sitting room had initially been on a chair in our bed room.

“They must have crept in there and stood inches away from us while we slept.”

The thieves left the constructing once they heard Walden hitting the snooze button on her alarm clock, in line with police.
