Years later, Ringo spoke out about his exit from the band, and defined it was a combination of feelings, and a few ill-feeling in direction of the remainder of his band.
“I felt I wasn’t playing great,” he mentioned. “And I also felt that the other three were really happy and I was an outsider.”
Starr then added: “I went to see John [Lennon], who had been dwelling in my condominium in Montagu Square with Yoko since he moved out of Kenwood.
“I mentioned: ‘I’m leaving the group as a result of I’m not enjoying properly and I really feel unloved and out of it, and also you three are actually shut.’ And John mentioned: ‘I believed it was you three!’”
